The 2019 installment of IWCE was a great success for the Safer Buildings Coalition, and we thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to hang with our members and other industry leaders and innovators in Las Vegas.
Our annual membership dinner and meeting allowed Safer Buildings Coalition members and leadership to kick back and spend some quality time together while listening to presentations and updates on the Coalition’s state of affairs and plans for the future.

Safer Buildings Coalition Launches Referral Program

The Safer Buildings Coalition has enjoyed steady growth in our membership rolls, expanding our stakeholder base to include even more industry sectors, AHJs, Trade Associations and Public Safety professionals.
We are pleased to announce the launch of the Safer Buildings Coalition’s new Referral Program, which allows members to earn membership discounts when they refer a new member to the Coalition.

UL Listing, Specialty Licensing Discussed at Broward County, Fla., BDA Committee Meeting
Posted on March 1, 2019 Non-Listed BDAs require Third-Party Field Evaluation after April 19, 2019 - New Specialty License Discussed
The Safer Buildings Coalition attended the meeting of the Broward County BDA Committee, a committee under the Broward County Board of Rules and Appeals (BORA), on Tuesday, February 26th. Among the issues discussed were UL 2524 listing of BDAs and specialty licensing for BDA contractors under the Electrical Contractors Licensing Board.
