We’ll have a great program that includes the Safer Buildings Coalition Annual Reception, Dinner & Meeting, as well as lectures, panel discussions, social gatherings -- and a whole new look to our booth on the expo floor! The Telecommunications Industry is Taking a Stand Against Human Trafficking, Here’s How

Telecommunications Against Trafficking and Exploitation (TATE) was established in 2020 in response to a need for more eyes and ears trained to recognize the signs of human trafficking in our communities.

Human trafficking is very real, and what many do not know is that it occurs right here within the United States. The media portrays it as a crime straight out of a “Taken” movie that occurs only in nations across the globe, but it happens in our own backyards and oftentimes involves more psychological manipulation than physical force.

With Immense Gratitude  

D Day

It is with immense gratitude that the Safer Buildings Coalition observes the 77th anniversary of World War II’s D-Day commemorating the largest invasion by air, land and sea in history.  We observe D-Day in the U.S. in memory of the Normandy landings in France on June 6, 1944, in which American soldiers and other Allied forces fought to end World War II in Europe.

I suspect for the most part you take those activities and organizations at their face value without thinking about how they began. Often, our beginning is simply when or where we became involved. But the history surrounding them can be quite interesting sometimes. Have you wondered about the real beginning of the Safer Buildings Coalition? We have a lot of new members at the Coalition, so this month I want to take you on a little journey back in time to the birthplace of the Safer Buildings Coalition for a look at the when, where, and why we exist both today and tomorrow.
