The Safer Buildings Coalition is pleased to announce this year's slate of candidates for the Board of Directors:

 Ballot Instructions

  • ONE Representative from each Paid Tier Organization may submit a ballot. 
  • An email notification will be sent to the Primary Point of Contact at each Member Company.
    • The link to the BALLOT FORM will be sent directly to each company's  Primary  Point of Contact on or about Monday, July 18.

Election Procedure:

  • ONE Representative from each Paid Tier Organization may submit a ballot. This Representative will receive an email notice.

  • Per the SBC Published Member Tiers and Benefits, votes are weighted by Member Type:
    •  Small and Medium Business Member Organizations get one vote per race, with each vote having a weight of one vote.
    • Corporate and Wireless Carrier Member Organizations get one vote per race, with each vote having a weight of two votes.
  • Each Organization Votes for ONE Candidate in each race.
  • The election will be conducted by electronic ballot between July 15th and August 15th.
  • Candidates earning most total votes will be announced on or before August 22nd.
  • Any tie vote will result in a run-off election.

  • Bylaws Note: In the event of a vacancy occurring in the office of an At-Large Director, the majority vote of the Corporation’s Board of Directors shall appoint an individual who shall serve until the next annual election when the unexpired term shall be filled by a majority vote of the members. The office of the At-Large director may be left vacant if the position is vacated less than ninety (90) calendar days prior to the end of the term of said office.

Key Dates

  • The election will be conducted by electronic ballot between July 15th and August 15th.
  • Election closes at 23:30 on August 15th.
  • On August 15th, the SBC Election Committee will validate the results of the election and inform the Board of Directors of the results.
  • Newly Elected Board Members will be announced on or before August 22nd.
  • The new Board will be seated at the First SBC Board Meeting September 2022.
