SBC Bylaws Updates
In a June 2021 special session, the SBC Board of Directors approved some changes to the bylaws that recognize the growth and changing nature of the SBC membership.

The major revisions below were done now to prepare for the annual board election.

Major Revisions:

  • Increased the size of the Board from six to seven directors
  • Added a second At-Large Board seat (One elected in odd-years, one in even-years)
  • Added language to ensure no one member company could have more than one representative on the Board at any one time
  • Removed language that placed a cap on the number of directors that could come from any one particular sector

Minor revisions were made (and will continue to be evaluated) that clean up outdated references and bring the bylaws into line with the way the Coalition currently operates. For example, formally adding newly created member tiers, acknowledging Work Groups, removing confusing or redundant language. These will continue to be addressed in the coming weeks and months.
