“The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.” G.K. Chesterton

Safer Buildings Coalition proudly recognizes National Armed Forces Day which is observed each year on the third Saturday of May. As an organization, we recognize and pay tribute to the brave men and women of the United States’ armed forces. On this day, we honor our military heroes for their patriotic service in support of America.

Saturday, May 20, 1950, was the first Armed Forces Day celebrated with the theme, “Teamed for Defense”. This symbolized the unification of all military forces under one government department, the U.S. Department of Defense. Thank you to all the men and women who have served or are serving in all six branches of the military for their service.
