Paul Caplan Joins Safer Buildings Coalition as School Safety Domain ExecutiveCaplan will lead SBC's school safety and security sector effortsPosted on September 12, 2024 The Safer Buildings Coalition is delighted to announce that Mr. Paul Caplan has joined the organization as School Safety Domain Executive. In this newly created role, Caplan will lead SBC's efforts in the school safety and security sectors. Caplan will help the SBC shape impactful messaging and raise awareness to inspire and drive collaboration with and between communities, grassroots organizations, decision makers, and the wireless industry. Caplan joining the team significantly strengthens the SBC's voice and impact as the Coalition and its partners work to make schools safer for our precious children. In-building communications is essential to all first responders, including law enforcement, EMS, and the fire service. When we are disconnected, we are less safe. One of the most important areas where excellent connectivity is required is our schools and universities. Recently, SBC has announced the development of a sharp focus on school safety through improved technology and communications. Time equals life. “We are extremely excited to have Paul Caplan join the SBC team to lead our school safety and security sector efforts. Paul’s deep background in the security sector thought leadership and his extensive knowledge of the sector’s stakeholders will enable SBC to have the focus and resources to properly address this critical space," Safer Buildings Coalition Managing Director John Foley says.
With Caplan at the helm, the SBC will continue to advocate for sensible legislation, improved wireless communications technology, and a broad, respectful, and inclusive dialogue between all stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to meet with Caplan at various SBC seminars and industry events. With that, please join us in welcoming Paul Caplan to the Coalition team.
