Webinar: Solving for Public Safety Communications in the Campus Environment - with Whoop Wireless and CCFS

By now, most Higher-Ed ICT Staff, Facilities Managers, Risk Managers, and Fire and Life Safety Staff are aware of the problem of wireless “dead zones” inside buildings for both cellular and public safety communications.

Many are also aware of the compliance requirements of fire and building codes, local ordinances, and their own administration’s policies.

This expert session, led by the experienced team at Whoop Wireless and facilitated by sector thought-leader Safer Buildings Coalition, will explore some of the more complicated and nuanced issues in finding optimal solutions in the campus environment.

The session will be facilitated by John Foley, Managing Director of the Safer Buildings Coalition, and led by Mark Strittmatter, VP of Sales and Customer Services for Whoop Wireless. To add further expert insights from a higher-ed perspective, they are joined by Justin Daniels, Fire Marshal for the University of Oklahoma, and President of the Center for Campus Fire Safety.

Topics Explored:

  • Compliance & Risk Management
  • Design & Project Considerations
    • Design Criteria Unique to Campus Environments
    • Managing harmful RF noise and interference
    • Determining Code Official Requirements for Testing, Design, and Installation
  • Project Coordination and Communication: THE Key to a successful project
  • Funding Challenges
    • Finding the money
  • Safety for Students, Parents & Employees

Presentation will be followed by an audience Q&A Session
