The 2021 election for the Safer Buildings Coalition Board of Directors is coming up. As always, we strongly encourage our members to vote in this election -- and to consider putting your name on the 2021 ballot and help the Coalition continue to make a difference. Here’s what you need to know about this year’s election:
New roles for current President & Vice President
- Current SBC Board President Eric Toenjes will step into the role of Immediate Past President. Thank you for your service, Eric!
- Current SBC Board VP Dennis Burnes of ADRF will become President of the Board.
Which positions are up for election?
- Vice President – Term: 1 year. Note that this is a three-year commitment, which includes the positions of: Vice President (1 year), President (1 year) & Immediate Past President (1 year).
- Secretary – Term: 2 years.
- At-Large – Term: 2 years
How to vote The election will be conducted by electronic ballot between July 15th and August 15th
How to run Interested in throwing your hat in the ring for one of the open positions? Members interested in running for the Board are asked to provide:
- The position for which you are running
- Current resume
- Statement to the SBC Membership indicating your qualifications and why you wish to run
Application form with more detailed instructions will be made available in mid-late June.
Why you should run The overarching reasons is that you believe in and support the mission.
